The state-of-the-art 3D printing technology used by AM Finland is based on laser melting.

Our equipment transforms 3D models created with CAD software into thin 2D cross-sections. The object being printed is formed by adding several successive layers of material. In essence, laser melting means that a laser beam is used for melting thin layers of metal powder into a single hard and durable structure.

The printed object is removed from the powder-covered area of the printer. The surfaces are then ground and finished to the customer’s specifications.
